For more information on Hatha Yoga or to find a teacher visit www.naturaltherapypages.com.au . Natural Therapy Pages TV Interviews Natalie Almond to find out what Hatha Yoga is and what happens in a Hatha Yoga class. Hatha yoga aims to achieve balance between the body and the mind through the use of physical poses or asanas, breathing techniques or Pranayama, and meditation. Asanas are various postures that are designed to improve health and remove diseases in the physical, causal, and subtle bodies. They were originally meant for meditation, as the asanas can make you feel relaxed for long periods of time. Regularly practiced, asanas improve muscle flexibility and bone strength, as well as willpower, concentration and self-withdrawal. Pranayama is the science of breath control and it is important because it is believed that the mind can be controlled through the control of the breath. Practicing Pranayama can also unlock dormant energies in the body.

Great documentary about homeopathy. I was amazed since my parents have always used homeopathic medication for hayfever and other allergies. When I heard about the dilution applied in these medications. Enjoy and be warned!

Aired September 13, 2010 on BBC One – Samantha Poling investigates how homeopathy has penetrated the heart of the NHS and asks whether prescribing homeopathic preparations for serious conditions could be dangerous for patients. The investigation looks at the history and preparation of homeopathic remedies and the extent of their use in Scotland and England. Advocates of homeopathy, including patients and a former GP who overcame her scepticism and became an enthusiastic practitioner, report stories of dramatic recovery in some cases. Glasgow still has a fully fledged homeopathic hospital while in English towns and cities, with the exception of London, such hospitals have been downgraded or closed. Powerful voices, including the British Medical Association, question the level of funding within the NHS for homeopathy and call for more evidence based research to back up the claims of homoepathic practitioners. via www.AtheistMedia.com -

Homeopathy is an alternative medicine used by millions around the world. This may seem like validation for its effectiveness however every well planned and peer-reviewed study has not recorded any benefit greater then that of the placebo effect. So why do people believe in it? especially when all mainstream medical knowledge shows it to be based on untruths and pseudoscience! Well it turns out the the human mind is capable of great cognitive dissonance and does not alway turn to facts to inform our beliefs. This piece by Kylie Sturgess with music by Milton Mermikides looks at the reasons why people believe in homeopathy.
